Ripley - Johnnie Mae Caldwell, 99, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at home with her family after an extended illness. She was born April 6, 1916 to Grover and Addie Hatley Wiseman. Mrs. Caldwell was married to Robert J. Caldwell for 36 years before he passed away. Since April of 1951 Mrs. Caldwell has been a Jehovah's Witness. She enjoyed talking with people about the Bible and her favorite verse was Revelation 21:3-4. She was a member of New Albany Kingdom Hall. Mrs. Caldwell also enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and working with her plants. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015, at New Albany Kingdom Hall. Burial will be in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas, at a later date. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Vickery (Carl) of Ripley. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Robert J. Caldwell; three brothers, one grandson, Daniel Allen Vickery.
