JOHN ROGER WILLIAMS
ShermanJohn Roger Williams, 80, died December 25, 2005, suddenly at his residence in Sherman. A Lee County native, he was born September 7, 1925 to the late John Edward and Georgia Ann Christian Williams. He was a member of the Sherman Church of Christ. Mr. Williams served as a waiter for 45 years at Carls Chop House in Detroit, Michigan. He loved playing dominos with his friends in Sherman.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Robert Kingsley officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park with W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors in charge of Arrangements.
Survivors include two sisters Mattie Speck and husband Harry of Sherman and Ruth Rozelle and husband Ray of Galveston, Texas, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister Annie Laura Pearson and three brothers Bruce, Herman and Raymond Williams.
Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pegues on Jefferson Street.
