John Todd

October 18, 1975 — August 19, 2007

Tupelo - JOHN NEELY TODD, 31, died Sunday, August 19, 2007, at his residence after a sudden illness. A Tupelo native, he was born October 18, 1975 to Larry J. and Wanda J. Neely Todd. A 1994 graduate of Tupelo High School, he then attended The University of Mississippi where he studied computer science. He was an information systems manager for Southern Motion Inc. in Pontotoc. He was an avid golfer and his favorite golfing partner was his six year old daughter, Mia Katherine. He was a sports fan and loved all things associated with Ole Miss. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Bryant Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of seven years, Wendy Joyner Todd of Tupelo; a daughter, Mia Katherine, and they and are expecting a second child in March; his parents, Larry and Wanda Todd of Tupelo; his grandmother, Ruby J. Neely of New Albany; his grandfather, J.W. Todd of New Albany; his mother and father-in-law, Jimmy and Peggy Joyner of Tupelo; a sister-in-law, Ashley Finch and husband, Ryan, of Saltillo; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William F. Neely; his grandmother, Dorothy G. Todd.

Pallbearers will be Will Neely, Chris Robertson, Paul Scott Reed, G Lipscomb, Greg Lipscomb, and Drew Lipscomb.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to service time at the church Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to to a charity of the donor's choice.
