John Osborne

John Mack Osbone IV (October 25, 1973 to November 20, 2013)

The gentle, loving spirit of John entered the eternal arms of the everlasting God of All Ages early this past Wednesday morning. Known to all as simply ?John?, he leaves his beloved wife of eleven years, Amanda, and two precious daughters, Annelise, age 7, and Ivy Scott, age 3.

His childhood and high school education were in New Albany. He came to the Lord through New Albany Presbyterian Church. He is an alumnus of The University of Mississippi and worked with Community Bank in central Mississippi before moving to Tupelo in 2007 as an appraiser for Rogers Realty and Appraisal. John then spent three years at Renasant Bank in appraisal review before recently returning to Community Bank in Tupelo as a Senior Vice President.

John never met a stranger. He was well-known through North-East Mississippi as well as Central Mississippi. His friendliness, kindness, zest for living, and joyous presence were a beacon to all he ever encountered. He loved his wife and daughters with every fiber of his being. His was steadfastly devoted to his parents and siblings; surviving grandfather; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. His friends were legion.

John?s talents were easily recognizable to all who knew him. He was passionate about music, the company of others, entertaining, golf, sports (he bled blue and red), the outdoors, and hunting. Since moving to Tupelo he and his family attended Calvary Baptist Church.

John is also survived by his mother and step-father, Debra H. and Rud Robison, Jr. of Tupelo; his father, John Mack Osborne, III; his sisters, Alison Osborne Smith (Martin) of Birmingham, Alabama and Amy Osborne Barnett (Blake) of Jackson; his brother, Michael H. Osborne of Tupelo; his paternal grandfather, John Mack Osborne, Jr. of Jackson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William E. and Janice Taylor of Tupelo; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of John?s life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.

Memorials in his memory to honor a charity he believed in may be made to United Way of Northeast Mississippi, PO Box 334, Tupelo, MS 38802.
