Tupelo—John Mark Jeffreys, age 56, passed away Monday, October 30, 2023. Born February 17, 1967 in Sardis, he was the son of Rev. James A. Jeffreys and Louise Hamblett Jeffreys. John Mark currently worked as a maintenance supervisor for NDS Asset Management. Earlier in his career, he worked 15 years for Comfort Engineering. Whatever his tasks were for the day, John Mark spent many hours assisting others and making sure their needs were taken care of. He was a dedicated member of Anchor Church. John Mark was a huge Alabama Football fan and his dog, Katniss, was a constant companion.
John Mark leaves behind his wife of 16 years, Tammy Jeffreys; three sons, Christopher “Peewee” Jeffreys, Jon Blake Jeffreys, and Jacob Abner Jeffreys; two step-children, Cory Eastman (Leah) and Courtney Kelley (Heath); two grandchildren, Alexa Eastman and Easton Kelley; and his brother, Brad Jeffreys (Debbie).
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Randle (J.R.) Jeffreys.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Pegues, Tupelo. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at New Hope Cemetery in Coffeeville.
Pallbearers will be Robert Gilespie, Nathan Clark, William Rice, Randy Chunn, Blake Jeffreys, and Cory Eastman.
