Saltillo - John Thomas Malosh, 66, died Monday, August 31, 2009, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. Raised in Beaverton, Mich., he was born May 10, 1943, to John H. and Wanda L. Rise Malosh. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was formerly of the Sanford, Michigan area and retired with General Motors after 35 years of service. Upon moving to Lee County, he worked for the Truck Center of Tupelo. He enjoyed woodworking, riding his Harley Davidson and taking care of his chihuahua, Rusty.
Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Gary Joyner officiating. Graveside services will be in Memorial Gardens in Midland, Michigan at a later date.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Sinelli (Bob) of Dexter, Mich. and Janet Malosh of Grand Blanc, Mich.; one son, John Malosh of Midland, Michigan; his partner, Joan Henley of Saltillo; one brother, Jerry Malosh (Brenda); and one sister, Diane Tuck both of Beaverton, Michigan; six grandchildren, Courtney, Andrew, Matthew, Tony, Kyleigh and Chase; four stepchildren, Doug Seaman (Kathy), of Mass., Darwin Seaman (Jennifer) of Florida, Dale Seaman and Denise Seaman, both of New Mexico; and a loving extended family in the Lee County area, including David Henley, Tammy Reese and Janet McComb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Shelby Brubaker.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
