John David Seale
Saltillo, Mississippi - John David Seale, 63, went to be with Jesus Sunday, July 23, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 8, 1953, in Hope, Arkansas to the late Billy Ray Seale and JoAnn Allen Seale.
He married Jeanie Cates on November 2, 1972 in Texarkana, Texas. He was a carpenter and home builder who also owned a Hardware Store for a number of years. During his lifetime, he served as a deacon, an elder and was an ordained minister. John later attended seminary at Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary following the call to the mission field through the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. He served in Brazil and Cuba for 26 years. Upon leaving the IMB, John started Charis Relief Ministries which continues today. John loved Jesus and his family more than anything. He enjoyed NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys and Blue Bell Ice Cream. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Tupelo.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Jeanie Seale of Saltillo; mother, JoAnn Seale of Texarkana, Texas; daughters, Amanda Samples (Kevin) of Rockwall, Texas and Kelly Hall (Sam) of Saltillo; brother, Richard Seale (Becky) of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Janie Sellers (Jerry) and Linda Weaver (Wayne), both of Texarkana, Texas; granddaughter, Alexis Samples of Rockwall, Texas; and grandsons, Noah Hall, John Levi Hall and David Gabe Hall, all of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray, and his brother, Tommy Seale.
Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Tupelo.
The celebration of John's life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Tupelo with Rev. Matt Powell and Rev. Mark Coleman officiating. Private family graveside services will follow.
