Joe Levy

Tupelo- Joseph Howard Levy, age 86, died on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. Joe was born on December 30, 1937, to Harry and Sadie Horhovitz Levy. He was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. On March 15, 1958, he married the sunshine of his life, Linda Blatt Levy. Thirty years ago, they moved to Tupelo to take over his father-in-law’s business, The Tupelo Lighting Center. He was also an active member of Temple B'nai Israel. 

Joe is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Linda; three children, Richard Levy (Sarah), Renee Barnes, and Anita Sisk; and four grandchildren, Stephanie Barnes, Seven Barnes, Jace Sisk, and Benjamin Sisk.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Sandi Levy Goldberg. 

Memorial service was at Temple B'nai Israel on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. 

Memorial may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Temple B'nai Israel, Post Office Box 515, Tupelo, MS 38802-515 or charity of your choice.
