Joann Robinson

Palmetto - Joann Robinson, 75, died Thursday, April 5, 2018, at her residence in the Palmetto Community after a lengthy illness. She was born in Pontotoc County May 28, 1942, to Walter Vernon and Julia Christeen Hicks Robinson but lived most of her life in the Palmetto Community. Early in life, she had worked in garment manufacturing but retired in the furniture industry. Joann loved flowers and was always found working in her yard. She had a heart for others and was always there when others were in need. She was of the Baptist Faith.



Survivors include four siblings,  Frances Chism of Palmetto, Walter Robinson and wife, Joyce of Auburn, Martha Shake of Palmetto and Danny Robinson and his wife, Redia of Palmetto.



She was preceded in death by her parents; and two siblings, Dorothy McCollum and Robert Robinson.



Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.



Services honoring her life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Dennis Kizzire officiating. Burial will be in Palmetto Cemetery.



Pallbearers will be Terry Harris, Ray McCollum, Bob Robinson, Cody Spencer, Austin Harris and Tyler Harris.
