JO MILLER Saltillo - Elsie Jo Miller, 87, died Sunday, November 2, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center, Hospice Unit after an extended illness. She was born October 11, 1927 to the late Lonnie and Lela Jane Chaffin Morgan. She was a member of Verona Pentecostal Church. She recorded with Sun Records in the 1950s as a member of the Miller Sisters. She also performed with Elvis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash as well as others. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. John McAllister officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Survivors include her four children, Marty Miller (Emma Jean) of Saltillo, Keith Miller of Saltillo, Larry Miller of California, and Jerry Miller (Pat) of California, two step-children; Billy Wayne Miller (Frances) and Faye Owens both of Saltillo; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by by her husband and parents. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors, Saltillo.
