Bro. Jimmy Woodruff

Tupelo- Jimmy Lee Woodruff, 66, died Thursday, August 15, 2024, at his residence. He was born January 6, 1958, in Oklahoma; he was the son of Henry and Edith Springer Woodruff. Following his Red Oak High School graduation, Jimmy had a vast career including construction, equipment operations and after obtaining his professional certification at Itawamba Community College, a professional truck driver. Jimmy was a faithful member of Union Christian Assembly Church in Plantersville. As an Ordained Minister, Jimmy proudly taught Bible studies, he was also the visual aid director during church services. Jimmy had a servant’s heart and offered his abilities to his church home where and when needed. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. 

 Jimmy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Rita Woodruff; son, Wesley Hensley and his wife, Kim, of Saltillo; one grandson, Link Hensley; three sisters, Rita Rouviere and her husband, Kenneth, Shirley and her husband, Russell Robbins, and Thelma Woodruff all of Oklahoma; two brothers, Tommy Woodruff and his wife, Cindy, of Georgia and Henry Woodruff of Oklahoma; and numerous niece and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Wrenetta Ketcher, James Woodruff, and Virgil Rigsby.

Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2024, at Pegues, Saltillo.

 Services honoring his life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Saltillo Chapel of Pegues with Bro. Jason Smith and Bro. Scott Williams officiating. Graveside services will follow at Union Cemetery at Union Christian Assembly.
