JIMMY HUBERT, JR.
SALTILLOFountain H. (Jimmy) Hubert, Jr., age, 73, died Monday, December 5, 2005, at the Tupelo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. He was born April 13, 1932, in Guntown to the late Fountain H. Hurbert, Sr., and Harriet Jane Robinson. He worked over 20 years for the R.J. Wilemon Construction Company. He is remembered as an avid domino player as well as a wonderful conversationalist. He is also known as a local hero after rescuing a family from a burning home, sustaining serious burns. He attended Euclatubba Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. John Stevens officiating. Burial will be at Fellowship Cemetery.
He is survived by three sisters, Mary M. Hubert Petrie and husband, Jimmy D. Petrie, Dorothy Robinson and husband, Charles, both of Tupelo; Glenda
Saylors and husband, Bobby, of Brewer; one brother Noel L. Hubert, of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William M. Hubert.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5 to 9 pm at the Funeral Home on Jefferson Street.
