JIMMY D. HARDIN
Tupelo - Jimmy D. "Jim Hardin, 68, of Belden, died Friday, July 14, 2006 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. A Greenwood, Leflore County native, he was born June 18, 1938, to the late Hazel and Clyde Hardin of Minter City. He was a 1957 graduate of Greenwood High School. He attended Louisiana State University where he had a football scholarship and received a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology and Commercial Art from Memphis State University where he also attended on a football scholarship. He was director of employee relations with Ambac, Super Saglass, Eljer, Pace, and Sheller Globe. He was a member of First Evangelical Church of Tupelo.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Tim Lampley, Tim Wildmon, and Jack Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Brenda Spier Hardin of Belden; two daughters, Alison Anne Hardin Wildmon and husband, Tim, of Saltillo, Leslie Hope Hardin Banks and husband, Wes, of Grenada; Six grandchildren, Wriley Hope Wildmon, Wesley Hardin Wildmon, Walker Houston Wildmon all of Saltillo, and Jacob Russell Banks, Wesley Taylor Banks, and Morgan Hope Banks, all of Grenada; and one sister, Jo Ann Gilbert of Olive Branch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Russell "Russ Bradley Hardin; and his brother, Stanley Clyde Hardin.
Pallbearers will be Tim Wildmon, Wes Banks, Wesley Wildmon, Walker Wildmon, Mac Davis, and Steve Hardin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy and Glenn Hardin and Van and Jack Gilbert.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
