JIMMY C. ELLIS Blue Springs - Jimmy C. Ellis, 65, died Monday, December 16, 2013, at his residence after a short illness. A Blytheville, Arkansas, native he was born June 11, 1948, to C. A. and Dora Smith Ellis. In his youth he moved with his family to Mississippi where he had lived since then. Jimmy was employed with Day-Brite Lighting where he retired after 36 years of service. Tinkering around in his yard and home was one of his favorite hobbies. He especially loved spending time and making wonderful memories with his beloved grandson. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. at Birmingham Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Wanda Ellis of Blue Springs; one son, Charles A. Ellis (Gaye) of Pontotoc; one grandson, Ayden Ellis of Pontotoc; four sisters, Carolyn Tucker of Saltillo, Jean Stevens (Johnny) of Tupelo, Billie Silver (Jimmy) of the Brewer Community and Linda Otts (Lamar) of Belden; one brother, Jerry Ellis (Patricia) of Belden. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, L. D. Wages; one brother, Cecil Ellis; two sisters, Judy Shurden and Nancy Ellis.
