Saltillo Jimmy Douglas, 55, died Friday, February 12, 2010, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. He was born on July 28, 1954 to Truman V. and Pauline Martin Douglas. He made his home in the Oak Hill Community all his life. He had been a C&C Operator and Programmer with the furniture industry for several different companies. He was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church. He loved to fish and loved his two Dachshunds, Sam and Pookie.

Stateroom Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2010 at W. E. Pegues in Tupelo with Rev. Castor Buse officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include his mother, Pauline Douglas of the Oakhill Community; two sisters, Martha Stewart of the Oak Hill Community and Janey Griffin (Oren) of Pensacola, Florida; one aunt, Stella West of Adamsville, Tennessee; two uncles, Gene Watson of Tupelo and Batty Martin of Burnsville; one nephew, Jamie McCollum of Fulton; three nieces, Donna White of Saltillo, Shauna Parker of Saltillo and Teri Stewart of the Auburn Community; six great nieces and one great nephew; his special family of 27 years, Paulette Lindsey of Guntown; one stepson, Kenny Lindsey of Jackson; two stepdaughters, Carla Lindsey of Tupelo and Paula Deloach of Shannon; step granddaughter, Kayla Wilson of Tupelo; two step-grandsons, Cory Ryan of Shannon and Josh Lindsey of Baldwyn; step great granddaughter, Gracie Lindsey of Shannon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Truman Douglas; three brothers, Tony and twins, Larry and Barry Douglas.

Pallbearers will be Jamie McCollum, Ricky Dial, Jr., Chris Stewart, Dan Stewart, Ralph Hawkins.

Visitation will be 12 Noon until service time Sunday, February 14, 2010, at the funeral home.
