Jimmy Dale Morris

Mooreville—Jimmy Dale Morris, age 70, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born February 28, 1952 in Tupelo, the son of James Pruitt Morris and Reba Aline Martin Morris. Jimmy worked for Tecumseh as a press operator for several years. He enjoyed watching wrestling and church services on television. He loved his family and looked after them even after they were grown.
Jimmy leaves behind his four children, Melinda Morris of Mooreville, Tommy Morris and Pamela Holloway, both of Fulton and James Morris of Mooreville; 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; his brother, James Larry Morris and wife Rita of Amory; two sisters, Melissa “Lisa” Dodd and husband, Richard, of Aberdeen and Linda Mallory of Tupelo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Margie Lee Morris.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues. Burial will follow at Auburn Cemetery.
