Jimmie Morris

Tupelo - Jimmie Wallace Morris, 91, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Rosewood Residence after an extended illness. A Tupelo native and longtime resident, she was born September 18, 1920 to George and Annie Burroughs Wallace. In 1956, she married Clarence Morris. She retired from the Mississippi Highway Department after many years of service. She enjoyed needlework and growing flowers and was an active member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Forrest Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Clarence Morris of Tupelo and several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
