CorinthJessiee Lloyd Jowers, 84, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth after a lengthy illness. He was born February 20, 1924, in Iuka to the late Albert Jesse and Lucy Scruggs Jowers and has lived in Corinth since 2001. Before retiring, he worked for Boeing Aircraft in Renton, Washington. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1943 until 1963.
Military services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Corinth National Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors of Tupelo is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Dobish and husband, Leonard, of Folsom, California; one sister, Katherine Jourdan of Burnsville; one brother, Leon Jowers of Corinth; and two grandchildren, Rebekah Dobish of Rocklin, Calif. and Rachel Dobish of Folsom, Calif.
