BALDWYN " Gerald "Jerry" Wynne, 71, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born on Dec. 4, 1936, in Muskegon, Mich., to Carl Francis and Clarabelle Vanderlaun Wynne. He was a retired employee of Air Cap Inc. of Verona after 16 years of service, and a former employee of the City of Verona. He was a very avid hunter and fisherman, he loved watching sports on the television, doing yardwork and carpenter work. He also enjoyed helping all the widows in his community with any of their needs. He attended the Christian Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with the Rev. Billy Glover officiating. Burial will be at Priceville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Rebecca Jestine Wynne of Baldwyn; two sons by marriage, Phillip Goff (Patty) of Tupelo and Paul Goff of Baldwyn; one daughter by marriage, Lisa Murphree (Alan) and Larry Sinner, all of Baldywn; two sons, Tom Wynne (Ellen) of Pioneer, Ohio, and Jerry Mart Wynne (Sue) of Angolia, Indiana; three daughters, Shawn Kamp (Larry) of Fremont, Mich., Trisha Cressman (Troy) of Twin Lake, Mich., and Beth Ballard of Pocohontas, Ark.; 16 grandchildren, Drew, Emily, Amanda, Cyndi, Rebecka, Preston, Brent, Savannah, K.J., David, Brenda, Sarah, Ricky, Derek, J.T. and Marissa; 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Vernon and Gene; one sister, June.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Goff, Paul Goff, Larry Sinner, Alan Murphree, Mitchell Pannell and Mitchell Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be the Round Table Coffee Drinkers and the employees of Git and Go in Baldwyn.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Saltillo Chapel.
