Tupelo - Jerry Williams, 50, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born August 27, 1957 in Paducah, Kentucky to Johnnie R. and Verna Singleterry Williams but was a life long residence of Tupelo and attended First United Methodist Church. He worked as an automotive technician and enjoyed racing motorcycles and working with small engines. He was known for his devotion to his mother and family.
Graveside services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Tupelo Memorial Park with Rev. Jimmy Criddle officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Gayle Williams and one son, Christopher Devin Williams both of Guntown; his mother, Verna Williams of Tupelo; two sisters, Rose Sonja Clemens of Scottsboro, Alabama, Ellen Diane Wigginton of Grapevine, Texas; two brothers, R. Wayne Williams of Summerville, Tennessee and Ernest "Buddy" Williams of Oakridge, Tennessee and the mother of his children, Rhonda Williams of Guntown.
