JERRY PARTAIN Tupelo - Jerry Joe "Yogi" Partain, 58, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at his residence after a sudden illness. A Marshall County native, he was born July 20, 1954, to Walter Eugene and Oredale Davis Partain. For the last five months, he lived in Tupelo. His employment history included, Tupelo Manufacturing, City Cab, Brook's Cab and Liberty Cab Companies. He was a member of Open Door Baptist Church in Fulton. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Shane Ray officiating. Burial will be in Pratts Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Shirley Partain of Tupelo; two daughters, Patsy Lynn Partain Threadgill (James) of Bolder, Texas and Connie Partain McPhilomy (Chuck) of Texas; one son, Joseph Partain of the home; two step-sisters, Sussie Ashe and Peggy Shaw both of Potts Camp; four brothers, Walter Partain, Jr. of Potts Camp, James Partain of Potts Camp, Billy Partain Sr, (Bab) of Saltillo and Jimmy Partain of Wesson; four grandchildren, Christophere William Hollandinjer of Oxford, Casey Dekota Hatchett, Aaron Michaels McPhilomy and Charles Edward McPhilomy IV all of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers and his grandparents. His friends and family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in his honor to W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors, P.O.
