SALTILLO - Jerry Adair, 61, owner of Adair Carpet Store of Tupelo, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, at his home in Saltillo after a brief illness. He was born March 4, 1946, to James Adair and Kathleen Roberts Adair in New Albany. He loved traveling, nice cars and spending time with his family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Harold Adair officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park in Verona.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Hellen Adair of Saltillo; two daughters, Lesley Stanford and Chris of Tupelo and Tracey Marshall and Freddy of Guntown; one stepson, Bruce Dodds and Phyllis of Booneville; one sister, Susan Copeland of Blue Springs; two brothers, Rev. Harold Adair and Ann of Tupelo and Ricky Adair of New Albany; his father, James Adair of Blue Springs; one grandchild, Jared Marshall; and three step-grandchildren, Markrissa Dodds, Logan Dodds and Tanner Dodds.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Adair; and one sister, Sarah Norris.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time, all at the funeral home.
