Tupelo ? Jeri Nichols Beard, 83, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born February 23, 1930, in Lee County to Walton and Jessie Nichols. She lived many years in Florida and California and traveled extensively.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Dr. Gayle Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Billy James Adams (Vickie) of Port Lucie, Florida; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, H. C. ?Ben? Nichols of Ormond Beach, Florida, Bobby Gene Nichols (Janet) of Baldwyn, Mississippi and Dr. Wilmer ?Wimp? Nichols (Arlene) of Gainesville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Beard; her parents; four brothers; two sisters and one daughter, Linda Houston.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Tupelo, Mississippi or to a charity of your choice.
