JEFFREY FRANKS Saltillo - Jeffrey Allen "Jeff" Franks, 46, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at his residence. A native of Zion, Illinois, he was born June 26, 1967, to Aruthur V. and Barbara Funderburk Franks and lived most of his life in Saltillo. He loved to tinker, do woodworking and carpentry work. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Mr. Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Caleb Franks and Caden Allen Franks both of Okolona; the mother of his children, Cindy Lamb of Okolona; three sisters, Margie Franks Pennington (David) of Saltillo, Rita Franks Chamblee (Tommy) of Fulton and Nina Franks Johnson (Mitch) of Lutz, Flordia; one brother, Aruthur Eugene "Gene" Franks of Peppertown; his mother, Barbara Franks Morton of Fulton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Aruthur V. Franks; his step-father, Quin Morton; one brother, Lonnie Keith Franks; one brother-in-law, David Tucker. Pallbearers will be Ricky Kent, Tommy Chamblee, Mitch Johnson and his nephews, Zac Tucker, Neal Tucker, Chris Underwood and Brian Johnson. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the funeral home.
