JEANIE PEARCE Pontotoc - Jeanie Lynn Pearce, 52, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born August 3, 1959 to Charles and Patsy Johnson. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Houlka Food Shop for the past eighteen years. Being a Christian wife and mother, cooking, yard work, exercising, taking cruises and tending to her pets were some of her favorite past-times. She loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Highway 15 Church of Christ where she was the Bible Class teacher and taught Vacation Bible School. She loved God and was a faithful servant. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Minister James Horton and Minister Robert Kingsley officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, David Pearce; two sons, Cason Pearce (Casey) of Houston, TX. and Cale Pearce of Pontotoc, one sister; Lori Davis (Dale) of Oxford; her parents; Patsy and Charles Johnson of Tupelo; her mother-in-law Wilma Pearce of Auburn Community ten nieces and nephews; . She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Mr.and Mrs.Jack Stanford and Dow and Hattie Johnson; her father-in-law T. D. Pearce, Jr. Pallbearers will be McCain Pearce, Matt Turner, Michael Wilson, Chet Wilson, Drew Davis and Reed Davis. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks,107 Skeet Drive Verona, MS 38879 and Pine Vale Childrens Home, 1872 CR 700 Corinth, MS.
