Saltillo- Jean Lee Langston, 75, died January 20, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center after a short illness. She was born in Mooreville November 29, 1942 to Thomas J. “Buddy” and Lula Velma Phillips Lee. She attended Plantersville Elementary School and Mooreville High School. She was raised in the Richmond Community and attended Richmond Pentecostal Church in her early years. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Early in life, she worked for Nettleton Garment Company and later in life worked a number of years for the family business J.T. Borden and Sons. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. On March 3, 1961, she married Earnest Langston and together they had two children. Jean absolutely enjoyed flower gardening especially growing and caring for her ferns to donate to area nursing homes. She also loved watching Ole Miss football.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Moore and her husband, Gary of Saltillo; one grandson, Will Moore and his fiancé, Charlyte Scarf of Oxford; two brothers, Charles Lee and his wife, Naomi of Tupelo and her twin brother Jerry Lee of Columbus; one brother-in-law, Howard Langston and his wife, Donna of Saltillo; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Earnest Langston; her beloved son, Darrell Langston; her parents; four sisters, Faye Lyons, Lorine Lee, Maudine Sims and Irene Moore; and three brothers, Russell Lee, J.C. Lee, and James Lee.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at W.E. Pegues, Saltillo.
Services honoring her life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. John McAlister officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.
