JEAN GENTRY Pontotoc - Annie Jean Gentry, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2013. She was a resident of Pontotoc County most of her life. The last years of her life she spent in the precious care of the staff at Pontotoc Nursing Home. She was a retired bookkeeper, who loved to sew, read and watch Star Trek. She loved her Lord and her family with all her heart and soul. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jimmy Russell officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Cemetery. She leaves behind her husband of 66 years, Cortez Gentry; three daughters, Judy Montgomery (Kenneth) of Toccopola, Kathy Whitt of Lake Wylie, South Carolina, Barbara Holloway (Bobby) of Pontotoc; one son, George Gentry of Tupelo; two sisters, Wilma Kelly of Chesterville Community and Pearl Treat of Brentwood, California; one brother, George Hart of Central Point, Oregon.; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Roger Gentry, Michael Gentry, Lyle Gentry, Barry Gentry, Ryan, Robert and Rhett Stegall. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the funeral home.
