JANICE SCOTT

Tupelo - Janice Marie Elliott Scott, 64, died Friday evening at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Savannah Tennessee native, she was born August 1, 1942 to the late John Allen and Nellie Christine Sipes Elliott. A longtime Tupelo resident, she was a homemaker, and was active with various volunteer projects, most notably the Salvation Army. She attended Harrisburg Baptist Church. Her interest included traveling and spending time with her grandsons.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. Forrest Sheffield and Dr. Ken Hester officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, James Scott of Tupelo; two daughters, Angela Wade (Larry) of Tupelo, and Jana Montgomery (Mitch) of Pontotoc; four grandsons, Tyler Wade, Peyton Wade, Ross Montgomery, and Eli Montgomery; and an aunt Ruth Marie Jordan of Shreveport, LA

Pallbearers will be Jerry McKee, Dual Gober, Bill Riley, Jerry Grissom, Warren Griffin, Gary Merritt, Kelly Bolton, and Richard Scott.

Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 706, Tupelo, MS 38802 or a favorite charity.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 12 until service time Monday at the Funeral Home.
