JANICE ROBINSON

Auburn CommunityOn April 14, 1948 Our Dear Lord sent someone special to this world to love and to be loved. On June 30, 2007, after a brave and tiring fight with cancer, He wrapped his arms around a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and took her home to be with Him. God had given her many talents; beautiful voice, ability to draw and paint anything, a wonderful seamstress and a passion for large jigsaw puzzles.

She was a long time resident of Auburn Community and a member of the Auburn Baptist Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. Bob O'Neal officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery.

Those left behind her are her husband and love of her life for 42 years, Walter; Two daughters, Wendy Richey (David) of the Auburn Community and Becky Franks (Chris) of the Dorsey Community; Five granddaughters, Kelly, Leighanna, Teri Richey and Danielle and Makinley Franks who loved their Tookie with all of their hearts; Two sisters, Shirley Bryson (Bob) of Vernon, AL and Barbara Filgo (James) and one brother, Roger Smith (Denise) all of the Auburn Community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Avis Smith and an infant sister.

Pallbearers will be Danny Robinson, Ray McCollum, Dwight Johnson, Greg Filgo, John White and Burmer Hood.

Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Pegues Funeral Home.
