Janet Venetis

JANET VENETIS Tupelo - Janet Lynn Roberts Venetis, 58, passed away June 23, 2014, at her home in Tupelo, Mississippi. She was born March 31, 1956, to the late E. G. Roberts and Nell Price Roberts of Tupelo. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She graduated from Belden High School in 1974, and then continued her education at Itawamba Community College and received her Master's from Ole Miss. She was a retired school teacher with thirty-three years of service with the Lee County School District most of which were spent teaching kindergarten at Mooreville Elementary School. She touched many lives and had a passion for teaching. Stateroom services will be at 4 p.m. June 26, 2014, at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo. She is survived by her children, Marianthi McGraw (Ned) of Franklin, Tennessee and Patrick Venetis of Tupelo, Mississippi; her mother, Nell Roberts of Tupelo, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her father, E. G. Roberts. Visitation will be 1 - 4 Thursday at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
