Tupelo -- Janet Linde Clark, 60 years young, residing in Tupelo passed away December 2, 2022 at 10:05 a.m., having lived life to the fullest extent and having overcome multiple adversities. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of Bill and Julie Linde, both deceased. She grew up with five siblings. Janet was a champion swimmer, attending the College of Charleston on a swimming scholarship. She then attended the Medical University of South Carolina. She graduated as an occupational therapist and pursued a career treating children with developmental delays and birth issues.
She married Barry Clark D.O. in 1996 and moved with him to Des Moines for studies and then to Arlington, Texas for residency. There she gave birth to two beautiful girls, Georgia age 23, and Reagan who passed shortly after birth. They then moved to Florence, South Carolina where she gave birth to her third beautiful daughter, Anna Lee, age 17.
In Florence she continued to work as an occupational therapist for several years before retiring to become a devoted full time mom. Janet also was the owner and contractor of a 1890 Queen Anne home in Darlington, South Carolina as well the owner and partner of Lucky Dong Rentals, LLC. She restored several properties in Darlington and Hartsville, South Carolina.
Life then took the Clark family to Tupelo where she continued to care for her family and business. This last summer she helped her daughter, Georgia, moved to Phoenix, Arizona and made it a fun adventure along the way. Shortly after, she received a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer, but that did not stop her from living life to the fullest.
She traveled to her 50th state, North Dakota, with her husband Barry before she turned 60. Her last trip was to Curacao with her daughters where she enjoyed the warm sunshine and ocean view.
She passed peacefully at her home in Tupelo surrounded by her siblings and family.
She was an avid lover of nature, sea life, and animals. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local animal shelters. She made an impact in so many lives across the country and wished that animals be helped as well.
