Jane Starnes Allen

Jane Starnes Allen, 80, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. She was born on September 14, 1943, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to her late parents, Von and Vestle Starnes. Jane's journey was one of love and adventure. After graduating from Blytheville High School, she met her cherished husband, Pat Allen, with whom she shared a lifetime of joy. Their union began on July 15, 1967, and led them to Greenville, MS, where Pat worked for Ford Credit. Together, they created countless cherished memories during their travels for Ford, eventually settling in Tupelo, where Jane was a valued member of the Northeast Church of Christ. Jane's essence was one of timeless grace and flair, embodying a blend of class, sass, and an unwavering spirit of generosity and thoughtfulness. Her love touched the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed. May her family and friends find solace as she rests in the presence of the Lord.
 

Jane leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years, Pat Allen; two grandchildren, Tiana Allen and Cody Allen; daughter-in-law, Sonia Allen; brother-in-law, Paul Allen (Libby); sister, Becky Daniels (Bruce); brother, Greg Starnes (Leah); three nephews, Reed Starnes, Bryce Daniels (Jennifer), and Danny Daniels (Starla); and five great nieces and nephews, Caleb, Leighton, Palmer, Emerson, and Trey Daniels

She is preceded in death by her parents; and her two sons, Scott and Ron Allen.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Pegues, Tupelo.

Services honoring her life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues, Tupelo with Bro. Jim Allen officiating. Graveside services will follow at Noxapater Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Reed Starnes, Buck Wooldridge, Bryce Daniels, Leighton Daniels, Palmer Daniels, and Terry Dearman.
