JAMIE HARPER Tupelo - Jamie Harper, 52, died Thursday, November 20, 2014, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 7, 1962, to James L. and Phyllis Hawkins Harper. He was a graduate of Irwin County High School in Ocilla, Georgia and went on to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia. Jamie was retired from the Tupelo Police Department. He was a member of All Saints' Episcopal Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at All Saints' Episcopal Church with The Rev. Paul Stephens officiating. Inurnment will be in the First Presbyterian Church Columbarium. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Sarah Harper of Starkville; three sons, Connor, John and Cooper Harper of Tupelo; five sisters, Lynn Nelson (Bud) of Tupelo, Laurie High (Eddie) of Wren, Leslie Geoghegan of Tupelo, Beth Anne Ellzey of Tupelo and Linda Witherspoon of Belden; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Noon until service time Saturday, November 22, 2014 in the Parish Hall of All Saints' Episcopal Church.
