JAMES DAVID WEBB
Tupelo - JAMES DAVID WEBB, 67, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at his residence after a sudden illness. A Lee County native, he was born May 5, 1940 to the late James Ernest and Geneva Mairiam Turner Webb. He was a graduate of Mooreville High School. He was a retired painter and an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of Oakridge Christian Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Terry Pierce and Rev. Raigan Miskelly officiating. Jason Webb will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Cross Roads Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Jean Webb of Tupelo; one daughter, Sherry Webb of Tupelo; two sons, James David Webb Jr. and wife, Amy, of Saltillo and Brian Keith Webb of Amory; three brothers, Phillip Webb, John Webb and Fred Webb, all of Tupelo; five grandchildren, Andi Nicole Webb of Tupelo, Benjamin Eugene Webb of Saltillo, Sarah James Webb, Trent Pope Scaife and Delaney Kate Scaife, all of Amory.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Turner Webb.
Pallbearers will be Phil Webb, Scott Webb, Cameron Webb, Davey Cole, Terry Dickerson, Lee Dickerson and Matthew Prestage.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Mark Webb, Austin Webb, Joey Cole, Greg Dickerson, Devan Christian, Turkey Yeagers, Ronnie Prestage, and Travis Gray.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m.Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
