Mike Turner
TUPELO - James Michael Turner, 54, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at his residence after a brief illness. A Memphis native, he was born Nov. 10, 1952, to J.R. and Robbie Thompson Turner. He was a member of East Heights Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Castor Buse and the Rev. Tim McMillen officiating. Entombment will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include one daughter, Michele Wren (Israel) of Amory; two sons, Jeremy Turner (Brandy) of Biloxi and Chris Turner (Sandi) of Bartlett; his parents, J.R. and Robbie Turner of Tupelo; one sister, Elise McCulley (Bob) of Southaven; three grandchildren, Kaleigh and Sophia Wren and Skyler Turner; two nieces, Kimberly Bradshaw and Jennifer Turner and other nieces and nephews; two uncles, his favorite, Jimmy Thompson (Judy) of Mooreville and Archie Turner (Betty) of Southaven; other family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Lee Turner.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Palmer, Bob McCulley, Kelly Thompson, Scotty Thompson, James Young and Kevin Mangum.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
