JAMES H. PITTMAN Tupelo - James H. "Jim" Pittman, 83, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born February 13, 1929, to James Franklin and Mattie Lou Walden Pittman in Avera, Georgia. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Augusta, Georgia. For 41 years he worked for Borden Milk and Ice Cream, from which he retired. He loved and owned many different animals. He was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. David Langerfeld officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012, at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Jean Ruland Pittman of Tupelo; one daughter, Bonnie Pittman of Booneville; one son, Emery Pittman of Tupelo. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eldred Pittman and Johnny Pittman; two sisters, Lollie Dye and Mattie Pittman.
