JAMES A. HUTCHESON

Plantersville - James Andrew Hutcheson, 75, died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Union County native, he was born November 19, 1934 to Wesley Earl and Emmaline Wages Hutcheson. He was married for 42 years to Joyce Hutcheson who preceded him in death November 22, 1995. He was Retired from Arvin Industries and later Tecumseh Products.. He enjoyed wood working, gardening, working on old cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved the loyal companionship of his little dog, Snowball. He was Master Mason and was a member of First Baptist Church of Verona.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Lynn Hughes and Rev. Dennis Finch officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include a daughter, Tina Hutcheson (Rusty) of Houlka; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Clark (Bobby) of Plantersville, Helen Juanita Garner Hankins (Bud) of Verona; two half brothers, Randall Hutcheson of Yazoo City, Wesley Hutcheson, Jr. of Belmont; his step-mother, Beatrice Hutcheson of Saltillo; four grandchildren, Tim Jones (Beverly) of the Brewer Community, Brandy Williams (Judd) of Guntown, and Hutch Washington, and Terri Leigh Washington both of Houlka; one great grandson, Cooper Jones of the Brewer Community; a special caregiver, Heather Engle of Bruce; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Ellen Marie Jones; three brothers, Francis, Emery, and Leroy Hutcheson; three sisters, Katherine Lofton, Virginia Kennedy, and Keron Gattis.

Pallbearers will be Paul Clark, Roy Clark, Eddie Garner, Bryan Kennedy, Jimmy Moore, Wayne Hutcheson, and Curtis Hilt.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Hutcheson and Danny Gattis.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
