James Robert Dobbs

ROBERT DOBBS Coffeeville - James Robert Dobbs, 85, entered into the presence of the Lord Friday, November 14, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Red Bay, Alabama on January 19, 1929 to William Oscar and Ida Cleo Hall Dobbs. He was a transmission mechanic and owned Dobbs Transmission. He loved to fish, play dominos and checkers. He was member of Belden Baptist Church. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Salem Cemetery, near Fairview on Highway 25 North with Rev. Jerry Bishop officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Ruby Dobbs of Coffeeville; three children, Lynn Edwards of Granbury, Texas, Robin Dobbs (Cheery) of Granbury, Texas and Angel Breland of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; one brother, Roland Dobbs (Jannie) of Grenada; one sister, Ruth Bishop of Jericho; eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Katherine McCormick; one son, Rodney Dobbs; and one grandson, Clint Edwards.
