JAMES ALLEN CRONE Shreveport, Louisiana - James Allen Crone, 68, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi, after an extended illness. Born in Many, Louisiana on August 13, 1946 to Leonard Allen Crone and Dorthea Sunshine Kimbrell Crone, James "Doc" grew up in Zwolle, Louisiana where he graduated from Zwolle High School with the class of 1964. He attended Northwestern State University prior to joining the United States Navy. James retired as a Petty Officer First Class after 26 years of active duty. He also served as a combat medic for the United States Marine Corps for 16 years. A memorial service honoring James' life will be held at Toledo Bend Lake, Zwolle Louisiana, on May 25, 2015. James is survived by his daughter, Tammy Crone Tolbert (Stephen) of Leavenworth, Kansas; grandsons, Sean and Michael Tolbert of Leavenworth, Kansas; brother, Robert L Crone of Tupelo, Mississippi; sister, Debra Ann Crone Jones (Dennis) of Diamondhead, Mississippi; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
