James Burchfield

TUPELO " James Clinton Burchfield, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at the Graceland Care Center of Pontotoc after an extended illness. A native of Montgomery, he was born Sept. 15, 1932, to the late Edgar Clinton Burchfield and Tressie Henderson Burchfield.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Shawn Davis officiating. Private burial will be in the Milligan Springs Cemetery in Montgomery County.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Betty Little Burchfield of Tupelo; one daughter, Sharon Burchfield; one son, Kevin Burchfield and his wife, Amy, of Starkville; and two grandchildren, Rylee and Mackenzie Claire Burchfield.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Bowie, Jack Bowie, Bill Hoffa, Wayne Bramlett, Eric Chambers and Keith Richey.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Catch-a-Dream, P.O. Box 6280, Mississippi State University, MS 39762.
