JAMES FLOYD "BO" DAVIS
Blue Springs - James Floyd "Bo" Davis, 73, went to be with his Lord at 2:15 a.m., July 28, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. He was born January 15, 1943, to James Vernon and Mary Jane Maxcy Davis. He married Jean Hamm on June 1, 1963, and spent 53 years together and raised two children together. James was a former employee of Pennsylvania Tire and Rubber Company and Tupelo Auto Sales. After retiring from Eljer Plumbingware, he later worked at Mississippi Samples. He never missed a single day of work. James was a man of few words and lots of opinions, a man who knew his way around a shop, could fix almost anything, and who quietly loved his family in his own behind the scenes way.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel with Bro. Danny Wilburn officiating .
He is survived by his wife, Jean Hamm Davis of Blue Springs; daughter, Angela Renee Dulaney (Wayne) of Belden; son, Keith Davis (Lisa) of Belden; six grandchildren, Laura Ashley Dulaney of Burbank, California, Sloan Mathews (Scott) of Tupelo, Race Davis of Belden, Hallie Davis of Belden, Hillary Shaw of Belden and Hamp Shaw of Belden; uncles, I. B. Davis of Mantachie, Robert Davis (Josephine) of Bissell; brother-in-law James K. Lovette of Wesson; sister-in-law, Anita Rakestraw (Homer) of Blue Springs and Teresa Rakestraw of Tupelo; nieces, Michelle Lovette of Wesson and Angie McClure of Tupelo; nephews, Wesley Rakestraw of Blue Springs and William Rakestraw (Mary) of Guntown; two special lifelong friends, Bobby Briley and Donald Scott.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James Michael Davis; sister, Kathryn Ann Davis Lovette; and his grandparents.
Visitation will be 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2016 at W. E. Pegues Funeral Home.
