JAMES MABRY "BILL" COGGINS
Marked Tree, Ark. - JAMES MABRY"BILL" COGGINS, 88, formerly of Saltillo, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. after an extended illness. A Mississippi native, he was born July 3, 1918 to the late Harley and Zora Hester Coggins. He worked in the construction industry and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007 at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Minister Clyde Mize officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Gladys Miles Coggins of Saltillo; his daughter, Sherry Williams and husband, Glenn, of Saltillo; three sons, Billy Coggins and wife, Barbara of Saltillo, Tommy Coggins and wife, Charlotte, of Unity, and Donald Coggins of Denver, Col.; two brothers, Lester Coggins and wife, Susie, of Fulton and Archie Coggins and wife, Charlotte, of Saltillo; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Judy Newcomb and Margaret Knighton.
Pallbearers will be Allen Newcomb, Derick Newcomb, Daniel Williams, Drew White, Randy Siddall and Rodney Siddall.
Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
