JACOB SHEFFIELDTupelo - William Jacob Sheffield, 29, died Monday, December 7, 2015, in Germantown, Tennessee. Jacob who was a lifelong Tupelo resident was born October 17, 1986 to Don and Melissa Gray Sheffield. In 2005, Jacob graduated from Tupelo High School and then from Itawamba Community College before studying Managerial Finance at The University of Mississippi, earning his degree in 2012. Most of his working life was involved in sales. Jacob had a close relationship with God and attended the Orchard. He was an avid Ole Miss fan. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his beloved black lab, Murph. He had a skilled hand working metal craft, and in his spare time, Jacob enjoyed reading, writing and playing his guitar.Visitation will be 3 until 6 p.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo. Service will follow at 6:15 p.m. in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Mike Davis serving as celebrant. A catered reception celebrating Jacob's life for all friends and family to share their fond memories will be held following the service at W. E. Pegues.Survivors include his parents, Melissa Sheffield of Tupelo and Germantown, Tenn. and Don Sheffield of Tupelo; grandparents, James and Judy Gray of Coffeeville; aunts, Sheila Davis (Mike) of Plantersville, Debra Myhand (Rex) of Guntown and Judy Gibson (Roland) of Tupelo; uncle, Joe Sheffield (Claudette) of Mooreville; closest friend who was more like a brother, Riley Henton; like a second mother, Marsha Williams and numerous cousins who were more like brothers and sisters. Also included, Clay Fennell and Mary Ann Elmore who were special in his life.Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow classmates from Tupelo High School.Memorials may be made to The Tupelo-Lee Humane Society, 2400 S Gloster Street, Tupelo MS 38801, Jacob's favorite time of the year was Christmas and in his memory Adopt an Angel from an organization of your choice this Christmas season.Expressions of sympathy may be left at
