Saltillo - Jackie Davis Turner, 73, died Sunday, January 27, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Tupelo, August 4, 1945, to Burton Davis and Palmer Jones Turner. Early in life, he served in the United States Army. Later in life, he worked as a contractor. Jackie loved his family and his dogs, Luci and Bella. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Turner of Saltillo; daughter, Pamela Turner Patterson of Hattiesburg; son, Justin Shaun Whitaker of Saltillo; two step-children; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; one sister, Judith Diane Mitchell; two brothers, Gene Autry Turner and Sammy Jones Turner; and half-brother, Bill Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Janice Goff and Patsy Sue Turner; brother, Ted Turner; and one half-sister, Mildred Stembridge.
