JACK A. FOSTER

TUPELOJack A. Foster, 84, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at The Sanctuary Hospice House. A native of Gideon, MO, he was born May 15, 1922 to the late Eddie and Evelyn Woods Foster. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, serving in Word War II, and a recipient of the Purple Heart. For many years, he worked as a cotton classifier at the cotton mills. He was a member of the Baptist church and enjoyed watching T.V. and playing golf.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the National Cemetery in Corinth with Rev. Randy Gillespie officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Rose Foster of Saltillo; one sister, Betty Falkoff; three nephews, David Patton, Ralph "Buz Patton, and John Scott Patton; and one niece, Sue Northcutt, all of Sikeston, MO.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
