BILL BREEDING
Mooreville -- J. William "Bill Breeding, 76, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks in Verona after an extended illness. A Holly Grove, Arkansas native, he was born August 1, 1930 to the late Will and Rever Emma Clark Breeding. He was salutatorian of the 1949 graduating class of Holly Grove High School, and then he attended the University of Central Arkansas at Conway. While in high school he was active in sports and had lettereed in both football and basketball. He had lived in the Tupelo area since 1957 and had been a resident of Mooreville since 1973. He was a radiation therepist with the North Mississippi Medical Center for over 40 years retiring in August of 1997. His wife of 44 years, Jan Breeding, preceded him in death, October 14, 1997. He was a longtime member of Gideons International. He enjoyed voluntering for mission trips and helped with several church construction projects while on those trips. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and taught in the 1st grade Sunday school class for ofer 30 years.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, at Calvary Baptist Church with Dr. Bryant Barnes officiating. Dr. Sam Newell will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Dorsey Memorial Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, of 8 years, Janie Breeding of Mooreville; one daughter, Tamara Breeding McCabe and husband, Tom, of Plano, Tex., one son, Timothy Alan Breeding and wife, Michelle, of Colulmbus, Ga.; two sisters, Mildred Sanders of Holly Grove, Ark and Phronia Calloway of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; one brother, Marion Breeding of Carlsbad, Calif., five granchildren, Jacob Breeding, Ryan McCabe, Zack Breeding, Juli McCabe; and Micah Breeding; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Louie Breeding, Henry Breeding and Melvin Breeding.
Pallbearers will be Ted Farrar, Scott Farrar, Jerry Loden, Eugene Beachum, Roger Beachum, and B.J. Norman.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007.
