IZORA BROWN Tupelo - Izora Brown, 94, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1919, in Itawamba County to Jimmy and Effie Murphy. She retired from Reed's Manufacturing after twenty years of service. Her favorite pass-time was watching t.v. and traveling. She loved to talk about the places she visited such as the Smokey Mountains. She was a member of Fawn Grove Free Will Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will be 12 p.m., Noon, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Fawn Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Booker and Bro. James V. Mills officiating. Burial will be in Fawn Grove Community Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her two sons, Billy Brown of Shannon and Charles Brown (Peggy) of Pontotoc; three grandchildren, Cindy McGregor (James) of Pontotoc, Bill Brown, Jr. of Shannon and Sonya Brown of Belden; five great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Troy Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Brown in 2006; her parents; two sisters; one brother. Pallbearers will be James, Collin and Jake McGregor, Bill Brown, Jr., Russell Burcham and Carl Brown. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at the funeral home and continue on Saturday from 11 a.m. at the Church.
