Guntown- Iva Nell Dunaway, 77, affectionately known as “Mamps” by her grandchildren, died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at her son’s residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in Pontotoc July 15, 1940 to the late Buddy and Earlene Watts. She was retired with many years of service from VF Factory Outlet. She was a member of Maple Springs Church of God and loved to sing and spend time with her family.
Visitation will be 5 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
Services honoring her life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Sammy Scott officiating. A eulogy will be read by Jeff Dunaway. Graveside services will follow in Saltillo Cemetery.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Dunaway and his wife, Linda, Jeff Dunaway and his wife, Mary, and Marty Dunaway and his wife, Katrina all of Guntown; one daughter-in-law, Charlotte Dunaway of Saltillo; one son-in-law Glenn Harris of Saltillo; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Dunaway, who died June 2, 2005; one son, Larry Dunaway; one daughter, Sheila Harris; two brothers, Richard and E.J. Watts; and two sisters, Francis Vess and Rita Horton.
Pallbearers will be Lee Dunaway, Matt Dunaway, Anthony Dunaway, Josh Dunaway, Coty Dunaway, Michael Ballard, Buddy Watts, and Samuel Paul Scott.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Greg Barnett and Hunter Brooks.
