Mooreville - Isabell Hardy, 84, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born September 7, 1924 to William and Rebecca Niblett Horn. She grew up in the Kosciusko area and had lived in Mooreville the past 50 years. She was a homemaker and the widow of Denville Coleman Hardy who preceded her in death, Jan. 12, 1999. She enjoyed reading, going to church, working jig saw puzzles, and fishing. She was a longtime member of Centerville Baptist Church.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Greg Jones and Rev. Frank Breaux officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery.
Survivors include three daughters, Ginger Odom of Navasota, Tex., Jenean Smith and husband, Robert, of Mooreville, and Gussie Bass of Dorsey; three grandchildren, Tawnya Langley, and husband, Jeff, of Fulton, John Smith and wife, Mandy, of Tupelo, and Weston Smith of Mooreville; five great-grandchildren, Madalyn Keyes , Cameron Keyes, Laken Keyes, Lily Langley, all of Fulton, and Addison Smith of Tupelo.
Pallbearers will be Tony Nichols, George McMullan, Steve Stanford, Joe Curtiss, Gordon Smith, and Doyle Horn.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Buse and Grant Shields.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
