INEZ SPRADLING
Clarksdale - Inez Abernethy Spradling, 77, died Monday, May 28, 2007, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Mississippi native, she was born September 16, 1929 to the late Merle and Iver Burns Abernethy. She had worked as a secretary for Tupelo High School for several years and also for Mr. L.D. Hancock as his secretary. She was a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church in Clarksdale.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jim Collier officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include three daughters, Jan Dozier and huband, Mike, of Fulton, Kay Duraski and husband, Ralph of LaGrange, Georgia, and Glenna Kessler of California; two sisters, Juanita Richey of Knoxville, Tenn. and Eulah Barber of Belden; and six grandchildren, Leigh Anne Dozier, Clay Dozier, Brian Dozier, Stephen Duraski, Tad Duraski, and Hanna Rose Duraski.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Glen Spradling, who died March 31, 2007; and a brother, Jim Abernethy.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
